چکیده

Abstract This study employs the finite element-based CSiBridge v.20.0.0 software to examine response of a single-cell prestressed box-girder bridge subjected Indian loading conditions. The analyses is carried out on simply supported considering specifications Road Congress (IRC) 6:2017, IRC 18:2000 and 21:2000. An existing model skewed validated with published one. A convergence conducted for determining model’s mesh size. extensive parametric gain better understanding bridge. parameters variables are: Skew angle (0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 40°, 50°, 60°); Span (35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 m); Span-depth ratio (10, 12, 14, 16 18). results this are presented as ratios Bending moment, Shear force, Torsional Vertical deflection. Finally, equations estimation these different span span-depth also deduced from statistical approach so that bridges may be evaluated directly. It determined outperforms straight because its higher ratio, which in less bending moment development. Evidence suggests skewness help lessen prestress load’s dominance. findings helpful engineers designers analysis design prestresssed bridges.

Optimization of Precast Prestressed Concrete Bridge Girder Systems

60 A practical approach to the optimal design of precast, prestressed concrete highway bridge girder systems is presented. The approach aims at standardizing the optimal design of bridge systems, as opposed to standardizing girder sections. Structural system optimization is shown to be more relevant than conventional girder optimization for an arbitrarily chosen structural system. Bridge system...

Theoretical and Experimental Study on Natural Frequency of Externally Prestressed Box-Girder with Corrugated Steel Webs

Abstract: Based on the characteristics of box girder with corrugated steel webs, the existing prestressing force, the effect of shear deformation of composite girder on the deflection, “folding effect” in longitudinal direction of corrugate steel webs and the arrangement of external tendons were considered comprehensively. With the experiment results of five literatures integrated, N/fcA (the a...

Drying and Cracking Effects in Box-girder Bridge Segment

This paper deals with the effect of drying as a moisture diffusion process in a segment of a typical box-girder bridge. Pore relative humidity distributions throughout the cross sections of the plates of the girder are calculated from the diffusion equation, taking its nonlinearity and aging into account. The effect of creep with aging on the stresses produced by drying shrinkage is taken into ...

Skewed Slab-on-Girder Steel Bridge Superstructures with Bidirectional-Ductile End Diaphragms

Specially designed ductile end diaphragms of steel bridge superstructures have previously proved, both theoretically and experimentally, to dissipate seismic input energy, protecting other substructure and superstructure members. Although ductile diaphragms have been introduced in the latest AASHTO guide specifications as a structural system that can be used to resist transverse earthquake effe...
